Holidays & Cancellations

Holidays:

​

Tuition sessions run during term time only. A full list of term dates is provided separately. Sessions still run on bank holidays unless they fall within a scheduled holiday period. As the monthly fee secures your child’s place, payment is still required if you cannot make a session due to other commitments or different holiday dates.

 

Refunds:

​

Refunds cannot be given where a tutee misses a session. If a student misses a group session, a recording and any materials from that session will be provided.

 

Tutor Cancellations:

​

In the unlikely event I should have to cancel a lesson (e.g., due to illness), I will give as much notice as possible and offer an alternative session or a refund.

 

Your Cancellation Policy:

​

You may cancel your child’s tuition at any time. As a courtesy, 2 weeks’ notice is requested.

Student Progress

​

I am committed to promoting academic progress, confidence, and a positive, resilient mindset in all my students. Lessons will be tailored to individual learning needs. However, as with any educator, I cannot guarantee grades as there are too many variables, such as student illness, stress, and exam nerves.

 

 

Obligations

​

Step Ahead Maths Tuition:

​

• Is suitably qualified and experienced to teach and tutor Mathematics.

• Agrees to do all the preparation prior to the sessions and to structure lessons to optimise time to the benefit of the student.

• Agrees to keep written names and faces of pictures confidential, in the case of using lesson materials/examples and feedback for marketing purposes on his social media.

• Shall at no time be required to or obliged to execute homework assignments on behalf of the student.

The Student (Your Child) and Parents:

​

• Agrees to provide me with a topic teaching timeline from their school, if possible. This is so I can tailor the sessions to their needs.

• Agrees to fully participate in sessions, to the best of their ability. Including the use of a microphone AND a webcam (unless otherwise agreed).

• The Student agrees that tasks, exercises or homework form an integral part of tutoring and undertakes to complete such work.

• The Student will have all the necessary booklets, folders and any other relevant materials printed and ready prior to the lesson starting, to ensure a prompt start.

• By sending your child to their first session it will be deemed that you accept these terms and conditions.
